When we can't find answers to life's toughest questions, we freak out a bit. We don't feel in control and we kind of feel helpless. How can we live a life for Christ when we stumble over the particulars all the time? And where is God in the midst of all this? Why isn't He showing us all the answers?
Been there? Me too. All the time.
What I've come to realize is that sometimes the Enemy feeds us the lie that says we must have certain things figured out before we trust God. That we must have a substantial amount of control before handing the reigns over to our Father.
Our God is not a God of confusion, but of clarity. He is not a God of chaos, but of order. So confusion and chaos are not from Him. They are from the lack of trust we have in Him. He is so mighty and perfect and good. So why do we get worked up over insignificant questions to the point of losing faith instead of allowing God to reveal His answers in His timing?
All He asks of us is to love Him. This is so clear in Scripture and should therefore be our focus. Sometimes we tangent this focus into how to love Him specifically in different areas. This is a good thing. We should always ask if our actions are out of love or not. However, when we get so caught up in these details of life, figuring them out can become our god. The answer to our problems is not our aim, but rather a relationship with our Father because He will take all our problems upon Himself.
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.

1 Peter 5:6-7
Sometimes we just need to let our confused minds rest and step into the muddled world with faith that God ultimately directs our paths. Even if the answer or the correct direction to take is unclear, step back and focus on Him instead of the situation at hand.
Cease striving and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10
This is pretty much my life verse because I am so often overtaken by all the insecurities and unknowns in my life. More than just being stressed and worried about specific happenings, I begin to doubt my Creator. This has and will continue to be one of my biggest struggles in life. When I am lost and uncertain in multiple areas in life, my trust is tested. I begin to wonder how such an almighty God really exists in the middle of all my confusion.
But I want to share from personal experience that pushing through doubt is one of the most rewarding trials because God is faithful (1 Corinthians 1:9). We have got to trust Him and remember His faithfulness in the past to be assured of His faithfulness for the future. It is a sweet thing to witness specific instances of God answering prayer after pursuing Him consistently.
In the midst of writing this post, I heard this song for the first time and was pretty amazed at its appropriateness to what I am trying to get across. Pay careful attention to the lyrics (look them up if you wish!).
